DAVID SPENCER MARTIN About |
Being raised in a very small northwest Louisiana town did not offer many outside activities. But, David's
mother saw that he had plenty of music training from two wonderful piano teachers. In addition, he played
coronet and French horn in the local school band and E flat baritone horn in college.
Many afternoons after school found David and a group of friends banging away on the piano, singing and playing the latest popular songs of the day. And always, David made up songs that constantly came to him like a never ending stream of rushing water. Grandma Martin was insistent on her children and grandchildren learning all they could about music and never let up the pressure on her family until she died at age 103. David and Phyllis's children and grandchildren also received lots of musical training and music is still a big part of their lives. Between 1970 and 1990 David was involved in music evangelism with a small team and traveled extensively in Louisiana and surrounding states on a part-time basis. During this time, David developed singing skills to complement his piano playing. Finally, after years of thinking about a website, it has become a reality. Perhaps you can find products in the performing arts you wish to purchase and will enjoy some of the music played, sung and created by David. "May you always keep your song." |
